My brother-in-law Rob and I have just finished rebuilding a '77 Suzook
with 844 Wiseco big bore kit. It has been an every-component
mechanical
rebuild from the swingarm bearings up, even new carb needles and
nozzles. It was to become a darling custom retro bike of a bygone era,
until Rob discovered your website, and started reading up about matt
black paint and the benefits of parking under lime trees. The finished
result is a mechanically perfect scoot with serious performance for its
time, with a long life expectancy, this bike will still be running in 2020 I expect.

I particularly like the pic of my 1981 GS1000G, ( chopped by me ) which
has 36000 km on it, for real, standing next to Luce, the rat 844 in
question.
Note the updated zorst, with Rob's finishing touch, a Windhoek Larger
beercan, something there were plenty of lying around during this
project.
What you might not be able to see is the charming way the rev counter
cable is tied to the bars, so that while the engine is going the cable
end goes round and round, so you can keep an eye on engine revs ???? !!!
Since this pic we've angle-ground the lower frame tubes to the rear pegs
off, and snapped off shorter, the numberplate ( which was an aluminium
door handle ). Cops will love that, of course, and the straight open
pipe, but who cares?
We have a human skull, nicknamed Boris, but we haven't figured a decent
mount for it yet... That would be a nice finishing touch... The paint is still too smooth too......
